Loch Ness Fake
Sometime over the past year, a new image of a creature in Loch Ness has begun to surface. The image is of a series of ripples and then a large creature of some kind on the surface. The claim is that there is some sort of Loch Ness monster in the image.
At a first glance, this looks like it could actually be something monstrous swimming in Lochness. This is exactly what the person who "took the photo" wanted you to think. If you take a closer look at the image you will notice that the skin pattern resembles another fish in the local area. The fish I am talking about is the Wells catfish.
If you take a look at the picture of the catfish posted above you can take note of the spotted pattern on it is very similar to the "creature" in the picture above. This isn't the only animal with a similar skin pattern on it, harbor seals have a similar pattern, as well as several other marine mammals. This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.
The first thing that caught my attention that this was likely a fake was the lack of additional photos, if you have such a clear and obvious opportunity to get pictures of the legendary Loch Ness Monster, why wouldn't you take as many photos as possible?
My conclusion here is that this is a digitally altered photograph adding some kind of creature into an image, perhaps removing a boat as the item causing that small wake.
